financial assistance.

I understand that
Orme Sargent is also writing to you to give his
support and I am sending him a copy of this letter.
If you would like to discuss this
matter with me I should be happy to come and see
you. Alternatively, if you feel able to agree
in principle to the grant of U.K. assistance,
perhaps we might leave the details to be settled
between the appropriate Departments in the
Colonial Office and the Treasury.
If you could possibly let me have an
early reply to this letter, I should be very
grateful. For reasons which I need not go into,
this question has been unday delayed and as it is
holding up the re-opening of the University, we
are anxious to get it settled as soon as possible.
